Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2017
January 09-13, 2017
PDPU IIC exhibited in the Trade Show organized at Vibrant Gujarat Summit, 2017. In the exhibition, few of our startups got an opportunity to display and demonstrate their innovative product and services to the visitors. The aim behind exhibiting in the summit was to spread awareness to the people having business ideas but lacking adequate resources to take it forward. The summit was held at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar.
Techstars Startup Weekend Gandhinagar
February 03-05, 2017
Startup Weekend is a 54-hour weekend event, which is powered by Google. During this event, groups of developers, business managers, startup enthusiasts, marketing gurus, graphic artists and more- pitch ideas for new startup companies, form teams around those ideas, and work to develop a working prototype, demo, or presentation and then pitch it in front of the Investors. Prominent mentors came in the workshop, guided the teams and helped them evolve their ideas. Out of 15 extraordinary ideas, judges declared winners after due deliberation and assessment over criteria such as customer validation, execution & design and business model. The workshop was organized in the PDPU IIC office.
Innovation Expedition Sheth C.N. Vidyalaya, Ahmedabad

Team PDPU IIC visited the renowned Sheth C.N. Vidyalaya, Ahmedabad on 28th March 2017 with an aim to harness the student’s creativity and transform them into prospective business models. Many students pitched out of the box ideas from which top three projects were awarded with the token of appreciation. The aim of this visit was to inculcate a spirit of innovation and nurture entrepreneurship amongst the students.
Innovation Expedition S.N.K. School, Rajkot

Team PDPU IIC visited S.N.K School, Rajkot on 4th April 2017. We collaborated with Innovative Product and Marketing (IPM), the event aimed to cater higher secondary students in order to give them practical insights of the business world. There were 35 teams in total who displayed their innovative prototypes, products, working models, radio jingles, T.V. advertisements along with the entire business plan and the best amongst them were awarded prizes.
Bootcamp at Om Engineering College, Junagadh
April 07-08, 2017
PDPU IIC organized a boot camp for two days on “Idea generation and Execution” at Om Engineering College, Junagadh. The motto behind the boot camp was to encourage students to pursue entrepreneurship and infuse startup culture. During the two day long workshop, the students sensitized about different aspects of entrepreneurship, idea generation and proper execution of their idea.
100 Bucks Challenge, PDPU

A very well known entrepreneurial and innovative game known as ‘100 bucks challenge’ was organised in the Induction week of School of Liberal Studies (SLS) at PDPU campus, wherein each team was given Rs. 200. Using the seed money the teams had to earn more by doing business on the campus. The objective was to make students aware about PDPU IIC and induce them to approach our incubation centre if they had any potential business ideas.
E-leader Workshop by Mr. Ankit Machhar

The E-Leader Workshop is conducted by the Wadhwani foundation every year. The two-day intensive workshop conducted by Mr. Ankit Machhar was organized in collaboration with PDPU IIC aimed to bring together high-potential students and leaders; teach them relevant skills and offer insights that will help them improve and take their Institution’s Startup Club/E Cell/EDC to the next level.
Entrepreneurship Jeopardy

This quiz is based on a famous American quiz show ‘Jeopardy!’. The interactive and exciting Jeopardy-style quiz was specially designed for student entrepreneurs. The rationale behind organizing such a quiz was to add a fun factor in the introductory session, which was aimed to let students who would associate and be part of the PDPU IIC family know more about the organization. Around 44 students participated in this fun quiz session.
