Showcase Of Diverse Talent Pool at IUC 2019

PDPU hosted the “International Universities Conclave (IUC) 2019” on 18th January 2019 scheduled by Government of Gujarat on the sidelines of “Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2019”. IUC 2019 aimed to foster academic collaborations through Internationalization, promotion of R&D and innovation and skill development among National & International Universities and was graced by Hon’ble Education Minister of Gujarat – Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama and Hon’ble Minister of State, Primary & Higher Education – Smt. Vibhavariben Dave. The event was graced by more than 50 International delegates; Vice Chancellors of Gujarat based Universities and Policy makers.

Business Incubator Management Program

February 12-15, 2019

A 4-day long training program tailored for all the business incubation stakeholders in the state of Gujarat was organised by PDPU IIC, with an aim to increase their understanding and know- how of the business incubation process. It consisted of 8 training modules ranging from introductory topics to specialised topics such as building and operating  an ecosystem. This 4- day program was offered by experts associated with the Canada India Center of Excellence at Carleton university and it was attended by 20 Incubator managers.

Transcreativity Workshop by Mr. Amar Gargesh

Transcreativity is an experimental learning of the best creativity and customer satisfaction practices from successful activities that are ‘Designed by Man for Man’. To foster innovation and creativity amongst students of PDPU, a transcreativity workshop was organised by PDPU IIC with an aim of this event was to create awareness about the maximum utilisation of resources and value creation by providing the students with glimpse of creative activities, kathak, drama, martial arts and much more. More than 100 students were sensitised during this 3-day workshop

Startup - Industry Connect 2019

Government of Gujarat in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and KPMG organized a one-day workshop on ‘Start-up Connect 2019: Connecting Start-ups with Industry at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar. The event aimed to congregate leading industrialists, incubation managers, and young start-ups on a single platform; and share their views and connect with each other so as to forge mutually beneficial partnerships aimed at supporting start-ups by providing resources, mentoring or incubation. The event was attended by over 50+ industry professionals and more than 200 participants.

"Lets Hack" hackathon 2019 for CS/ICT

September 6-7, 2019

PDPU IIC with the support of the School of Technology, and in collaboration with Ahmedabad chapter of Computer Society of India (CSI) and GESIA IT association- organized the first in-house hackathon especially for CE-ICT students from 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. This hackathon was aimed at building solutions to the problem statements shared by industry and academia. The Hackathon witnessed a total of 62 teams, i.e. 300 participants working for 24 hours non-stop, on 18 different problem statements to build working prototypes. 

Student Idea Connect 2019- Hiramani School

PDPU IIC seeks to support student entrepreneurs by providing them an opportunity to learn and experience entrepreneurship first-hand. This program aims to help school students, who are passionate about knowing entrepreneurship, to gain valuable real-life experiences, giving light to their raw ideas so that they can connect, develop their ideas at an early stage and get a chance to start and run their own company at a young age.

[GCCI], on the occasion of Children’s Day on November 14, 2019, organized a Student Innovation Challenge Program to support new ideas, innovative solutions and entrepreneurial spirit amongst school students.

Lets Hack 2.0

November 29-30, 2019

The hackathon was a pre-event to maximize participation from PDPU for the state hackathon organized by Government of Gujarat, Education Department under SSIP.  The 91 student teams, i.e. 533 participants worked on 65 problem statements listed by the State government collected from industry and academia with 46 faculty mentors supporting them throughout the event to refine their ideas and build a sustainable solution. It resulted in 12 teams being awarded in different categories.

Expert Lecture on Blue Ocean Strategy” By Prof. Kunal Mankodi

This lecture aimed at making the attendees aware about strategies for making startups investment ready, a properly planned strategy to successfully launch its venture but also to stay afloat in the market in the face of competition. Blue ocean strategy is the simultaneous pursuit of differentiation and low cost to open up a new market space and create new demand.
