PDEU IIC sponsored the event and participated along with its 6 incubated startups at Maker’s Fest Vadodara. With an aim to develop an understanding of the unexplored and potential startup ecosystem of Vadodara. PDEU IIC also offered support to 1000+ students and entrepreneurs who were a part of the Maker’s Fest.
PDEU IIC in association with Shuru Advisory LLP hosted “SHURU UP” – a Pitch Day event for selected startups of PDEU IIC. This was one of our ambitious initiatives to connect the incubatees who are looking to raise funds from the right set of stakeholders. About 12 incubated startups of PDEU IIC pitched in the main event to the panel of 6 potential investors.
PDEU IIC hosted a 3-day Capsule course to stimulate an iterative process which sought to identify alternative strategies and creative solutions. With a total of 65 participants, this 3-day course was conducted by 2 renowned Speakers – Mr. Rohan Shah and Dr. Kruti Patel who broadened the horizons of the students to convert their ideas into commercially viable products by developing a product market fit.
PDPU-IIC organised an entrepreneurship awareness workshop at Dharmsinh Desai University (DDU), Nadiad. The motive of the workshop was to instill the essence of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. 3 innovative activities were conducted for 160+ students emphasising on the essential qualities of an entrepreneur.
The main aim of conducting the workshop was to educate the students of Gujarat Engineering College (GEC), Bhuj and young entrepreneurs about the benefits offered by the education department of GOG under SSIP Policy. PDPU IIC organized a ‘Grassroot Innovation Workshop’ at GEC, Bhuj for 160+ participants. The 4-hour workshop was conducted in 2 parts. The first part featured Ms. Drashti Shah talking about what entrepreneurship is, and how entrepreneurs are different from businessmen. The second part focused on optimum utilization of resources, time management, and teamwork.
In the attempt to uphold the stature of an affluent startup and innovation incubator, PDEU IIC organised an insightful and inspiring- Goal Setting Workshop, for the incubated startup founders and entrepreneurs. The aim of the workshop was to enlighten the entrepreneurs about the significance of holistic development and give them the clarity to determine their market competitiveness and positioning in future. Amidst Covid-19 pandemic where everything was tremendously challenging PDEU IIC in partnership with TIE, IPPO and CII managed to organise a virtual Hackathon. It was designed for the students of diverse domains across PDEU where they were given a problem statement from industry and academia to come up with a solution. This hackathon included a number of webinar series on Ideation, Entrepreneurship and Management, how to pitch etc. by renowned speakers. It was a 2-month long process of registering 910 participants, forming 213 teams, webinars, panel discussions, mentoring sessions, 46 problem solving statements, and finally we had our 6 victorious teams out of a total of 213 teams. The winning teams were also offered incubation at PDPU IIC.
PDEU in association with PDEU IIC and in partnership with TIE, IPPO, NSE and MSME Gujarat organised SME: Next Orbit Accelerator program. The program intended to help MSME sector enterprises think afresh and lead their businesses to growth orbit. It provided systematic vision to implement the ideas to 35 Business ventures who were a part of this program. There were 13 renowned International and National speakers who conducted a total of 13 sessions.
PDPU in association with PDPU IIC organised a webinar on ‘Corporate Innovation and Entrepreneurship’ by Dr. Kruti Patel, with an aim to introduce participants to the concept of ‘Intrapreneurship’. The webinar highlighted the relevance of Innovation in the corporate world. It also highlighted the importance of constantly innovating and changing the organisations and therefore, increasing the chances of its sustenance and growth. A total of 651 participants attended the Webinar.
PDPU IIC in association with School of Liberal Studies organised a webinar on “Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Management” by Mr. Jatin Kataria with an aim to urge the participants to follow a Problem-Solution Oriented Approach. The webinar also aimed to highlight the interplay between the three components and their importance for running a successful business. The webinar was organised on Zoom Meeting App, and was also broadcasted live on YouTube and Facebook, with a total of 346 participants.
PDEU IIC Organised a webinar on the topic of “Design Thinking in the Energy Sector” that aimed to help the students apply the concept of design thinking in the context of the energy sector and developed solutions for the challenges posed by the changing business dynamics. It was hosted virtually over the zoom call with a total of 462 participants.
PDPU IIC in association with School of Petroleum Management (SPM) organized a webinar on ‘Execution, Traction and Scale’ by Mr. Rajeev Roy with the aim of educating participants on how to comprehend business environments, identify opportunities of growth, innovate business processes and scale up businesses. The session was hosted virtually over Zoom meeting with a total of 866 participants.
With an aim of shedding light on technological development and enhancement, PDEU IIC has organised a webinar on ‘Technology Transfer’ by Mr. Andre Kwok. The session acquainted around 752 participants and deliberated about the best practices of technological transfer and enhanced their perspective about the future technical startups.
PDEU IIC in association with School of Petroleum Management (SPM) and School of Technology (SOT) organised a webinar on ‘The art of Creative Thinking’ by renowned Speaker Mr. Rohan Shah. The webinar aimed to provide 635 participants an opportunity to think and work unconventionally and develop different perspectives to flourish in their respective fields.
