FOET Induction Program

PDEU IIC hosted an Induction program for the brimming students of the new batch, 2023-27, of FOET (Faculty of Engineering & Technology), PDEU. The program seeked to acquaint the students with the startup ecosystem and familiarize them with the vision and mission of incubation centers. The session commenced with a motivational address by the Director of PDEU IIC, who highlighted the tremendous growth in entrepreneurship, the support offered by the government and ways in which their technical background, innovation and zeal in synergy with assistance of PDEU IIC can kickstart their entrepreneurial journey.

The session touched upon a wide range of topics ranging from basics of entrepreneurship, startup ecosystem to numerous governmental schemes and programs, current trends and opportunities. The audience was walked through the journey of PDEU IIC since its inception in 2014 and be a part of a variety of events and internship opportunities that students can be part of while studying were discussed.

The orientation was followed by an interactive session between the incubatees and students. Founders from numerous startups such as Techinnovate Mobility, Saltech Design Labs and Imagine Powertree interacted with the students, narrating their heir journey of ups and downs , conceptualisation of their idea and offered them with on - ground experience and their journey to successful venture. Lastly, the session concluded with a round of Q & A that resolved the doubts and queries of the students pertaining to the operations of the incubation centre and several opportunities that they avail.
