Induction Program, Master of Art, SLS, PDEU

As a part of their induction program, a newly arrived batch of MA students of SLS from diverse academic backgrounds took a tour through the state-of-the-art facility of PDEU IIC, wherein, they were walked through the co-working space of startups, 3D printing lab, workshop, prototyping lab, training centres and other facilities as the centre. The tour not only familiarised them with the facility but also allowed them to learn about how an incubation centre operates. Through interactive presentation and engaging discussion, the students gained profound insight into the startup ecosystem. This immersive experience informed them about the vital role PDEU IIC plays as a catalyst for innovative thinking and impactful research.

The students also had an opportunity to interact with a few of the many startups incubated at PDEU IIC, to learn from their first-hand experience. One of these startups was Techinnovate Mobility, a startup working towards developing a new medium of customised, indigenous and pocket-friendly EVs. These vehicles are completely trackable and IOT enabled which provides the fleet operators better control and monitoring on their fleet.

Mr. Darpan Kadu, founder of this startup, interacted with the students. He shared the journey of his startup and all the efforts that have gone into bringing it to life. The Q&A session also contributed towards enlightening the students about the startup and how PDEU IIC’s support and guidance has impacted its journey.

The event featured a captivating address by the Director of PDEU IIC, who talked about the essence of PDEU IIC's role in the academic landscape. Through fascinating anecdotes, he showcased the institute's commitment to budding entrepreneurs and resonated deeply with the students. His address encapsulated PDEU IIC's spirit as a hub for impactful innovation.
