Visit of students of SHETH C. N. VIDYAVIHAR, Ahmedabad

PDEU IIC hosted the 11th grade students of Sheth C.N. School, Ahmedabad and their esteemed faculty at their facility. The visit was intended to inspire the younger generation to pursue their creative ideas. Students were introduced to the concepts of start-up ecosystems, entrepreneurship, and the role incubation centers play in nurturing and providing facilities and mentoring to a start-up during its journey. The visit exposed the students to avenues and industries they might not have considered before.

The visit commenced with an extensive tour of the 20,000 sq. ft. office, guided by the employees. Students learned about various industry-specific machines that are made available to start-ups. They were introduced to the 3D printing technologies that IIC offers to its innovators and startups. The students were also told about how the center provides networking and financial help. In order to provide real-life insight, they were shown prototypes of the startups incubated at IIC: EV bikes from ‘RhynoWheels’ and innovative solar panels from ‘Imagine Powertree’.

The students’ interest was piqued when they were given a chance to interact with start-up founders who shared their ideas, perspectives, and journey. They were briefed about the many programs offered by IIC to its incubatees, including the SSIP program offered to students by the Gujarat government to encourage entrepreneurship. The team from PDEU IIC then engaged in a conversation with the students to walk them through the incubation process.
