WSRO REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 2024

PDEU IIC and WSRO collaborated to encourage young students to bring their creative visions to life. While young people have many creative ideas, they often don't know how to start and run a successful business .This collaboration aims to create a richer environment and nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs. Students from different government and non-government schools experienced this firsthand by participating in a hands-on activity where they applied creative problem-solving to a given challenge.

Concurrently, a series of competitions unfolded at PDEU&IIC, showcasing a diverse range of categories:

Lego Budding Builder competition likely involves building with Lego bricks to stimulate creativity and problem-solving skills in children. It's a fun and educational way for young minds to develop construction abilities.

Jr. Robo Race is a competition where young participants build and program robots to race against each other, testing their engineering and coding skills.

Lego Line Following is a competition where students build and program Lego robots to autonomously follow a black line on a white surface using sensors, introducing them to basic robotics and programming concepts.

Lego We Do is a playful learning experience that combines building with LEGO bricks and coding to bring creations to life. It's a fun way for kids to develop problem-solving and programming skills.

Line following involves a robot navigating a path by detecting and following a line on a surface, typically using sensors. It's a fundamental concept in robotics and automation.

Entrepreneur Challenge is an activity where participants pitch innovative business ideas, aiming to win recognition, funding, or mentorship to transform their concepts into successful ventures.

Young Scientist activities are hands-on experiments designed to spark curiosity and teach scientific concepts in a fun and engaging way. They encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

STEM Balloon Car activity is a competition where students build a car powered by a balloon, learning about physics, engineering, and problem-solving while having fun.

These competitions, curated by WSRO were designed to challenge participants and ignite enthusiasm across various STEM disciplines.
